5 ways to invest in the Metaverse and Web 3.0 early

The metaverse is here but its still in its infancy, so today Ill be telling you How I am investing in the Metaverse – and 5 ways you can invest in the Metaverse and Web 3.0 early so that you too can get some of the advantage of an early investor! Make sure to watch till the end coz I dont think many people are talking about method number 5

The first way to invest in the Metaverse and that is through stocks .

Top Metaverse Stocks

The Metaverse is not new but It was definitely brought to the mainstream ever since Mark Zuckerberg announced that Facebook will be renamed to Meta Platforms. Being the parent company of Occulus who make the best VR headsets they are ahead of all the competitions by miles and with the revenue of Meta Platforms they definitely have the funds available for new R&D in the Metaverse.

Connected to Meta Platforms is Matterport

Matterport is leading the digital transformation of the built world. Their spatial computing platform turns buildings into data making every space more valuable and accessible. They have transformed Millions of buildings in more than 150 countries into immersive Matterport digital twins. This technology is essential in the Metaverse creation

Facebook is not the only company building a metaverse. Video game platform Roblox Corporation also announced plans for a metaverse that is built around its players.

Roblox was designed almost from the beginning to be a human co-experience platform, which is now being more commonly called the Metaverse. The company’s end goal is to have all human experiences that can be imagined be available to be experienced with friends and family on the Roblox platform.

Microsoft is another giant player in the Metaverse platform creation. With Mesh for Teams, Microsoft plans to bring 3D workspaces to remote workers in 2022. The feature combines the mixed-reality capabilities of Microsoft Mesh, which allows people in different physical locations to join collaborative and shared holographic experiences, with the productivity tools of Microsoft Teams, where people can join virtual meetings, send chats, collaborate on shared documents and more.

We also have UNITY SOFTWARE, NVIDIA, TENCENT and Many other publicly traded companies where you can invest to be a part of the Metaverse.

The Metaverse ETF

If you do not have time to track these companies you can use The Second Way to invest in the Metaverse is through Metaverse and that is through an ETF which has all these companies. There arent many options but The Metaverse ETF by Roundhill is definitely worth looking into.

  1. Compute
  2. Networking
  3. Virtual Platforms
  4. Interchange Standards
  5. Payments
  6. Content assets and identity services,
  7. Hardware

While META tends to focus mostly on large- and mega-cap names, its allocation within the tech and communication services sectors is pretty diverse. It includes all the individual stocks I mentioned earlier and has a total of 40 companies. The 0.75% expense ratio is a little high for an index fund though.

Top Metaverse Tokens

The Third Way to invest in the Metaverse is through Metaverse Crypto Tokens.

The cryptocurrency market has had a bumpy week or two, but there’s one set of tokens that has soared recently. With momentum around the metaverse growing daily, the tokens attached to the virtual world have shot up

Sandbox, a Hong Kong-based gaming platform, has recently drawn in millions in funding, including from backers like SoftBank, as it gears up to launch its play-to-earn metaverse capabilities.

Sandbox visitors can monetize assets and gaming experience, including buying virtual plots of land, all with the sand token. Even Adidas said it is toying with the idea of building in the Sandbox metaverse.

Snoop Dogg announced in late September he would be buying a plot of land on Sandbox to build a mansion and will release his own non-fungible tokens (NFTs), which will give people VIP access to concerts and events on the platform.

Decentraland, the virtual world running on Ethereum that seeks to incentivize a global network of users to operate a shared virtual world.

Decentraland users can buy and sell digital real estate, while exploring, interacting, and playing games within this virtual world. Over time, the platform has evolved to implement interactive apps, in-world payments, and peer-to-peer communication for users.

Outside of the gaming environment, the Decentraland team has released a marketplace along with drag-and-drop editor users can access to build scenes.

The marketplace enables participants to manage and exchange LAND tokens, priced in MANA. Owners can use the marketplace to transact or transfer parcels and other in-game items such as wearables and unique names.

There are other tokens that you can look into like Axie Infinity,Illuvium and Many more but there is something called the Metaverse Index where you can possibly get exposure to 15 metaverse tokens. You can think of this as an ETF ( not exactly) or its equivalent in terms of Crypto.

So instead of purchasing these tokens individually you can invest in this index and get exposure to all these tokens together. Obviously, you would not get those extremely high gain factors but this can certainly reduce the risk factor as it is distributed among all these tokens

Metaverse Land and Property

The fourth way is by purchasing Land in the metaverse

Virtual real estate is a non-fungible (NFT) digital asset that represents limited and scarce virtual space that resides within Metaverses. Some metaverses are virtual reality-based and some simply embrace the social and commercial aspects of a shared experience within a virtual World.

There are portions of land available in these metaverses that you can purchase and as in real life you can potentially build businesses your home hold events and much more! Decentraland and the Sandbox are two such places where you can buy land!

NFT domains for Web 3.0

The fifth way is through NFTs

You might have seen the explosive growth of NFT Projects like Crypto punks, Bored Ape Yacht Club and Many more but finding an NFT project which is not a cash grab but actually has a great potential is pretty difficult to find. It’s not impossible though. That being said Even if you believe that NFTs are glorified Display pics I think NFT domains are definitely not worthless. Having an NFT domain name not only carries Clout but these NFT domains can also be functional. You can have your own website on the block chain. Obviously at the moment you cannot make complex websites on the blockchain but as the tech improves you can definitely have more complexity.

NFT domains dont cost that much, You can Register a .ETH domain name for $5/year for 5+ character names + gas fees. And if you opt for one of these NFT Web3. domain extensions

  • .zil,
  • .x
  • .coin
  • .wallet
  • .bitcoin
  • .888 .
  • crypto
  • .nft
  • .dao
  • .blockchain

you can get a domain name from unstoppable domains starting from 5$ without any gas fees as you can mint these NFTs on the polygon network! (links in the description) best thing about unstoppable domains is that there is no renewal fees so All domain purchases are a one-time payment.

Early adopters in crypto domains have already been awarded after the Ethereum Name Service protocol, distributed an airdrop for its new ENS decentralized autonomous organization (DAO) token . Unstoppable domains had 100M+ airdrop of promo credits already but Maybe might also do something like ENS. who knows?

These the 5 ways to invest in the Metaverse and web 3.0 early to get the early investor advantage, let me know if you think I missed any important ones in the comments below!
