Hello everyone , today I am going to tell you how you can open an account in Comdirect in 5 minutes in English and Start investing in Germany.
To open an account with Comdirect you do not need to pay anything for the first 3 years. After the first three years you need to pay 1.95€ per month. You can use you Comdirect brokerage account for free after the first 3 years if you have a Current account with them, or perform 2 trades per quarter or have a savings plan which executes at least once per quarter.
For the first 12 months you pay 3.90€ per transaction. After the first year the costs increase to 4.90+ 0.24% order volume. So the minimum transaction fee is 9.90€ and the maximum being 59.90€ per transaction.
For ETF savings plans, the costs are 1.5% of the the order volume plus the TER of the ETF.

You can open a deposit account with Comdirect within 5 minutes, simply fill in your information on their website. After that you have to verify your identity using POSTIDENT, you can either do that using their app or go to the post office and submit your contract in person. For most nationalities it is not possible to use the app for identity verification using POSTIDENT, they have to go in person to verify the identity.
