The new immigration law that has finally been approved by the German Parliament. Offering opportunities for everyone who wants to come to Germany or is already settled here. Point-Based Chancen Card
One of the significant changes in the new immigration law is the Point-Based Chancen Card system, similar to what they have in Canada. This system has 12 different criteria, and if you satisfy certain criteria, you are given points. Once you collect six points in total, you become eligible to apply and get a chance to work in Germany. This system is a gateway for people from all over the world, specially Asians, to come to Germany and take a trial employment or a part-time job for a year.
Blue Card and Work without German Recognized Degree
The new immigration law has also reduced the foreign Blue Card requirement from almost 48,400 euros to 43,800 euros per annum. This means that if you are eligible, you can get a blue card directly. Furthermore, if you are an IT worker with experience, you can apply for a blue card directly, even if you don’t have a degree. Another significant update is that a German employer can hire you for a job even if your Non-EU degree is not recognized by Germany. This update will make it easier for skilled workers to find employment in Germany without having to wait for the recognition process. Employment of Unskilled Workers
The new immigration law also offers opportunities for unskilled workers. The government is discussing a quota of 30,000 workers that can be hired from any part of the globe, provided the employer gives them a minimum salary and a job for at least eight months.
